Re: Putting 6x9 speakers behind the seat
My son's truck (86 Chevy Silverado) has two metal pieces (one for each side)that came from over the GM parts counter that hold 6X9 speakers, they mount down low in the corner of the cab, by the seat belt housings. These pieces are enclosed and fit along the inside of the cab's metal work. I have seen them in other trucks, also. We purchased them from the dealer and are still using his.
