Zero-rate is a fancy name for a block,IMO.Zero-rate spring?That`s a spring that doesn`t do anything for your suspension,just sits between the axle and spring.That`s a block in my book.I`m not bashing them.All it says to me is a small block (like an inch) is ok as long as it`s longer and kept stable from shifting.Blocks up front are taboo,so just call it a zero-rate spring.
