There are,and have always been,single rear wheel 1 tons and the optional,yet more common,dual rear wheel 1 tons.Which ever way they left the factory,they would have matching front wheels.The duals requiring the added spacers to compensate to the offset of a wheel mounted inward.
There are trucks where owners have added a dual rear or adapted the rear to dual from single.There are companies that sell conversions,too.You can do all this to any 8-lug,even a 3/4t.
