I agree that the truck will need more power to run better times, (13-14's), but as it stands it's a pretty clean and quick street truck that is lots of fun.

I also agree, that the converter is a bit much, but the truck runs 3150 rpm at 70 mph... The converter will only foot-brake/flash to about 2000 rpm and is livable on the streets. With the manual valvebody it's pretty easy to keep track of the rpms.

I did however add dual transmission coolers, a deep finned aluminum pan and run synthetic ATF... Much better temps and drivability now...
