The highest gears I've seen for the HO72's are 4.11's, more commomly the 4.57's. That doesn't mean they didn't make higher gears, I just haven't seen them myself. I looked in my Yukon Gear catalog and they don't list any gears at all for the HO72, just install kits and such. If you're set on keeping your truck all original, you may be stuck with the low gears.

Since yours is a 4x4 have you considered switching to a Dana 60 since some of the 4x4's of that era came with D60's. That way you would be able to step up to 3.73's or even 3.54's. Also parts are more readily available.
