You could, but I was thinking the ease of bending sheet metal as opposed to a pipe bender. Plus I could tie it into my 'B' post and support the bottom to my frame. Kinda like tranmitting the load all the way down and to my frame. I think present day technology says .125 wall thickness

Ther was a guy over on CK5, that went into theory of a round pipe as opposed to a square, short version, round handles side impact better than square

This guy lost me after the first post, heavy heavy stuff. This guy is a genius, so who am I to question his thoughts
