My .02 worth for what it's worth. The box I agree is a bit banged up for the low milage but then again if it was used as a work truck for the first few 'k' miles the box could show signs of wear and tear and still have low milage. What has got me questioning the mileage is the engine bay!!! I've owned new vehicles from work trucks to cars and I don't remember my engine showing this kind of wear at 18000 miles. The intake, valve covers, air cleaner etc appear like they have a 100,000 k on them. I have the original carb, intake and air cleaner off my truck and they have way more paint on them and they are not low mileage items to say the least.

I posted this 55 Chevy for $30.000 about 2 months ago. This is what I would expect the engine to look like. Some cast parts showing a bit of rust but the paint in quite good shape. Over all still very presentable. This vehicle is 52 years old!
