Okay. Those bars are call tie rods. There purpose is to keep the wheel parralle to each other. In this case they are using a c4 rear end setup. It is an independent rear suspesnion. Since it is an IRS the it needs something to keep the wheels straight as they go up and down. This does that. Otherwise one wheel will turn left while the other wheel turns right. Hope that helped.
