Who made the best trucks in the early 60s?

I am talking Ford, Chevy, Dodge and even Studebaker.

Address issues such as
Rust
Drivetrains
Chassis & Brakes

I don't know a whole lot about the other brands, but as far as rust, I don't think you could come up with a worse design than these chevys. I just got a new fender and I am looking at the rear brace. Its like it was designed to hold dirt!

I brought up this question because I saw an old Ford work truck, about a '65 at my local community college. It was sitting in a back lot and I assume this truck has sat outside most of its life. It didn't have any significant roof rust and the fenders didn't have any rust holes. I wouldn't want a Ford of this year, but I would say it might be a better truck as far as rust. Aesthetics aside, who do you think engineered a better truck?
