Just an interesting item I seen couple months ago at the Chickasha, Ok. swap meet. Guy had a REALLY nice original NOS tailgate with the GM sticker still at 85-90 percent legible and the GM box it came in. WAS NOT a thin re-pop. I was half way interested for my '71 4x4 until I asked the price. Reply was a quick "$800.00 bucks, firm or I take it home" At the end of the 2nd day when I was leaving he was taking it home.
