I have a 94 Corvette LT1 in my 72. Get a cable from a late 90's Caprice. It will work just fine. I had to cut a slot in the end of the gas pedal arm for the cable end. The Corvette manifolds didn't work for me. The manifolds of the original engine bolted up but didn't match the ports very well so I went with the S&P headers.

Good luck with the install and if you can get the 6 cyl mounts, they work great too.
