Bob: You opened a can of worms with this one LOLL. You can put a larger tank in but you'll need new straps too. If you want to put in a second tank in the factory position you in for a BUNCH of work. New hangers, fuel lines, tank switching valve, wireing & punching out a hole for a fuel door. To much work. Go for a rear mounted tank. I have an 84 with dual tanks that I am restoring now. After I get her togther I'm going to see if I can't figure a way to plumb in a fuel fill cross over so I can fill both tanks at the same time from either side. Wouldn't that be cool. jim
