The frame is different on the back, the rear view mirror is mounted on the windshield frame instead of glued to the windshield. The doors have a brace near the vent window in late 71's and 72's so yours may or may not have it. The inside door molding is different in the 71's than the 72's also. That's all I can think of. Oh and 71 is the first year of disk brakes I believe on the front and supposedly the front axle has other things different about it.
