The relays were out on the shelf at the store. They were where the fog light kit's are.Both relays have two terminals for the accessaries to hook to so running the other wires wouldn't be a problem I don't think. Part # DF005 good up to 30amp's

Going back and reviewing the schematics and other references, I realized that the heavier wires are needed just to feed the relays. I think you would be fine with the OEM harness from the relays to the lights. It certainly wouldn't hurt to run heavier wires but like you said you would have to rebuild the connectors at the lights.
