My throttle linkage does have the cable. I have not installed it yet. The carb & linkage is all original. Now the "goodies" are add ons and the air cleaner is an add on.
Luvlegs, I'm not sure what year my plate, or stove came from. The vertical plate is tack welded to the stove. Can I see a couple of good pics of your part? Not sure I want to swap them, but I would like to see what you have.
Yes, your question makes sense about the choke being on the intake, not sure why they did that.
