If it is not badly damaged, some cleaning up and a bit of peening may make it safe to just insert a new key, and tighten it down correctly using the right Loctite It would be easy enough to check frequently to be certain that it is holding - which it might do for 100k miles. If it begins to loosen, then get a new balancer and key.

I thought about it but thats what got me here to begin with...trust me I am all about saving the penny. Its ordered and scheduled to be here tomorrow so I will just take care of it then. Thanks for the input.
