Ive been having the same problem as well, I know were part of its at I have a bad choke thermostat and I believe my carb is out of adjustment (again ) those would be two things Id check first. Also if the misture isnt getting ignited fully that will cause bad mpg IMHO. But someone else on here would have a better idea Im sure. Just my .02 cents
