seat belts
Okay, I fess up I have an NOS set of black ones. NO, THEY ARE NOT FOR SALE (this is typed with a smile on my face not a scowel. Just thought we should get that out of the way) The setup was pretty primitive compared to now. These belts were in addition to the regular setup. There was another lap belt on the same bolt as regular lap belt. The other part (male end) attached to the bolt hole in the cab pillar. This was a stationary belt that did not retract. On the plastic cover that covered the top of the belt, there was an indentation. The idea was to push the chrome part of the belt back up in the plastic for storage. The indentation would set in the square hole in the metal and hold it in place. Look at the pic on ebay and you will see the indentation. I have heard that some reproductions were made but they did not have the indent in the plastic. I would get you some pics but the belts are stored away for now. I believe ROD on the board has a pic of a complete set that was sold on ebay several years ago. Maybe he will post it if he still has it.
