The seats in mine are 60/40 split bench from a 98 extended cab. I think that was the last year before they started building the 3rd door. Both seats tilt and slide forward with a lever on the side of the seat back. At the base of the seat, it slides forward about 6 inches. I think the access is at least as good as with the original seat. And the seat back doesn't hit the windshield when it's forward.
