Using 295/50s on 15x8 will just meet the minimum rim width requirements, but they may not look right on 15x8s. The 15x8s with the 3.75 BS will push the wheel inside the fender lip in the rear, but I would think the a bit more BS is needed in the front, say ~5". I would think that much backspacing shouldn't be a concern with inference with the 2.5" drop spindles. Unfortunately, you may have trouble trying to find the right BS from non-custom wheels. 275/60s or 255/60s may look better on 15x8. Take a look at Malo's setup (http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...69&postcount=2) (even though he has more drop than you do). But, it would leave you the option of dropping the truck further, should you decide to in the future.
