I drop the t-case and tranny separately. I would block the motor up under the oil pan, and remove the cross member first, before the t-case. This makes it a lot easier to get to all the bolts. leave the t-case adapter bolted to the tranny when you pull it out. All of the parts for the 465 are available, and it can definitely be repaired. If it needs a shaft or gears (anything other than bearings or seals), it may be cheaper to buy a whole tranny at the junkyard than to buy the new parts. These trannies are pretty easy to find used.
