Hmm...I stopped trying...but it is still intriging......I rigged up the original Lap belts...I replaced the belt and changed the buckle on the retractable strap set up. I just opened that sucker up and poped one in from another belt. . It was pretty easy....just now they don't retract like I wanted them too, but they will pass inspection. For the female buckle I used the ones from a 70??suburban. So I have GM buckles. I took the male parts from a gm car in the salvage and just slid in the belt from the retractable part. works ok.....but larger fellows have to hold on to their seat!!!!!....But....it looks like I can rig up some belts and re-make some good repros...I'm gonna try it.....I thought of the Idea of an extra buckle for a free hanging shoulder harness....hmm....I wanna try it....
