As high as that sits, you will be much better off to run stiffeners from the upper end down to the front bolts on the intake. As it is, I can see problems with the water pump bolts due the all the leverage (moment arm).
If you have holes in your head (I do  ) you could use them. Having another attach point, either above or below will help a lot with reducing loads and vibration.

Thanks, I agree. That's not my engine... just a shot with what I'm wanting to do.... but lower and less "sheet metal" looking.
