You're a long ways away from having to worry about the block failing. There's guys running 800+rwhp on stock ls blocks. The cam will be the limiting factor in that package, it's barely using the head flow. The LS3 heads have a TON of potential and have as-cast flow numbers in BBC territory......throw a .650" lift cam in there and you're talking 600+hp easy.
