Someone has added that filter. You can buy them at any auto parts store.

Biggest problem with them is where the hoses attach to the fuel line. Since there isn't a hump for the rubber hose, they tend to leak very slowly.

If you go to start the truck after a few days and you have to crank for a minute to get fuel to the carb, you have a slight leak between the hose and the steel line. It can be fixed by using Permatex Hylomar, a fuel resistant sealant developed by Rolls Royce for use in carburetors.
