Also I've been informed that the factory v-8's came painted that green color, does anyone know a color code, or is the eastwood engine paint right? Also were can i find the paint code for my truck? It's currently white with the red stripe but under the front sheet metal and cab, you can see the green that came on these trucks. I'm just working to do this as accurate as possible. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Welcome to the board and since no one else decided to give you a hand, I can a little bit. You can get a reproduction vin tag made. I'm not sure where I have seen it, if I come across it, I'll send it your way. You'll have to search for the vin reproduction tag. If your truck still has it, on mine it is behind the glove box door; The sticker that tells you what your truck came equipped with. The color code should be there for the truck. As for the engines, I don't know, mine was painted the normal chevy orange.
