I cant say for sure how they did theirs, but the suburban window trim fits perfectly at the door on mine. This would lead me to believe that the length is correct without adding to the rear.
If you compare the pics of mine and Jason Hill's I think you will see the proportion look about the same. If they added to the rear it doesnt look to be very much.
