The 882 heads have reputation of cracking between the valve seats. Instead of putting any money back into the heads you might want to find some replacements. The 993 casting is a better bet for durability but some 441 or 487 castings would give you better flow/performance.

They sure do...I'd steer clear of those. I got 993's on mine and love them. The builder told me they flowed very well for a stock head and he wasn't lyin'!
