87 transmission interchange?????
Looking to change out the transmission in my 87 longbox. It is a 700R4. No longer works, and have several other transmissions which are alos 700r4s. Which will work? Can i change the tailstock?
I know theres something to do with shaft lengths or something along those lines. Finally got it running again and now the transmission doesn work. I drove the truck before winter and then it sat and it didn't run or drive. Now it runs, but doesn't drive.
700r4 from 87 chevy 4x4
700r4 from 88 chevy 2wd
700r4 from 87 iroc-z camaro
Any help is greatly appreciated.
