I'm sure load rating played a factor in the sales rep's recommendation to go with the LEs verses the Indy 500s. I haven't tried the LEs but I'm sure they perform well in both wet and dry weather, as they have many of the same tire attributes as the Indy 500s. I have noticed a HUGE difference in the way my truck handles and rides with the Indy 500s compared to those nasty light truck tires. Another benefit of the 500s is that they are quiet -- not as much road/tire noise when compared to the light truck tires. I researched many of the top name tires and I came to the conclusion that the Firestone Indy 500s were the best: warranty, thread life, wet/dry performance, and price.
