Re: WIW: 67-68 GMC painted caps MINT!!

I don`t think I`d mess those up.But,would be interested if a price can be agreed on.I`ll keep looking for the "fancy" dog dishes.
I look at a part like these as being,in some ways, more valueable than the fancier stuff. Most standard equipment was taken for granted and worked hard. There`s no aftermarket (repro),they really are a rarity.Like painted bumper guards,an upgrade that isn`t "blingy"...imagine that.On the other side, they`d only have a value to a true restorer with a truck that calls for these...not too many. It`s like all these 250/3spd combos getting yanked and tossed for 350/auto set-ups.The guy that hangs on to this stuff will have something one day.Now,actually.There have always been those who care for originality. And a penny saving 6 banger is saving dollars these days.I had a`55 wagon with a custom steering wheel and MonteCarlo console/seats.It took alot of searching and many bucks to get the shift on the column and a factory seat. That was 25 years ago.
Anyway, history lesson over. LMK what you come up with.
