you dont need to change crossmember,but will need the lower a arms,or modify steer stops on the 68 arms for turning radius. Also balljoints,& tierods,& a good chance you will need the centerlink. Best bet is to peel all the parts off one truck,& you will have everything you need,but other than a couple brackets for brake hoses,you shouldnt have any trouble with the stock crossmember. good luck........69 longhorn.
