My friend just did a conversion on his 82 and he used rear discs off a 96 chevy caprice police cruiser. He had to fab the caliper brackets and more. He is still working out all the bugs(and there are many). If you believe the aftermarket systems are expensive it's because they allready engineered all the components to be trouble free. Be sure to research all the issues and costs associated with a part-swapping conversion. When I convert to rear discs I want a 1-800 # to call when I have trouble.
