For the most part Ebay is okay, you just have to read the other guys feedback and judge for yourself if it is safe or not. I look at feedback, shipping costs and description. If it is a headlight ring and they want $20 shipping...SEE YA! It really upsets me lately how ebay is letting people charge CRAZY shipping fees to get out of paying the ebay fees. I have seen a set of RC Car wheels "Buy it Now" for $5.00 with $35 shipping, it is ignorant, and SO many people are doing it....First sign they may not be all that honest. But feedback is the ticket.
I have 549 feedback at 100% positive because I believe that honesty is the best business, and that I check and double check EVERYTHING in the description before I buy it. You have to be cautious of everyone and prepare yourself just in case. I also try to use Paypal as much as possible. If it is big ticket item that goes south, you can always file a complaint with Paypal to get most of your money back.
I had my first experience here with a board member turn out to be less than par (I am finally over it though). I have heard of mostly good stuff about people selling here so I will probably buy on here again (just not with the first guy). It is a little harder to know what is what here (I am just used to ebay's way of measuring people)
