Re: Blown away by pops ...

Excellent looking truck! And even better story behind it.

I'm only 20, and I'm finally starting to realize how truley incredible of a person my dad is (my mom too..but, this is about dad's, haha). There was a time in highschool where I thought he had a warped view on everything, since it was different than mine. But, I grew up, mellowed out, and we get along. We're alot alike, so, thats both a blessing and a curse, haha.

He gave me the first truck I messed with...his old '68 C20. Got it running, used it around the farm, beat the hell out of it. Had some fun, learned alot. Now - I have a greater appreciation for machines, especially the simplicity of old mechanics. We've stood and talked about one of the old Farmalls for hours at times, or looking at the shift linkage of my truck. I dunno. It brings a greater appreciation for past generations. I love my truck, but the memories are priceless when it all gets boiled down.

-ahem-.

sorry.

nice truck again.

-Sam.
