i ended up buying the pintle hitch.
However, I did come across another issue. With the shackles I have installed on the rear of the truck, the trailer tongue is LOW!
It's not really a big issue because I won't use the trailer much at all. I have a completely level truck now and I won't use the trailer enough to justify having a jacked up rear! LOL
