One thing that gets overlooked when doing this swap is the power wire. The original coil power wire is a resistor wire. When you do the swapp you have to make sure to run a new wire from the ignition switch to make sure the hei gets full battery power. It will work without doing this, but you won't get full advantage, or power out of the hei. It will also foul spark plugs more quickly.

I probably went a little overboard on mine, I use a big ole fat 10 guage wire but also ran an inline fuse to it as well.
