Ok well another non stop weekend
Saturday morning up on the roof to fix a little leak
that turned into 4 four hours replacing the last 3 rows of shingle and adding new
drip molding .So now after it raining for 36 straight days at my house it
didn't rain all weekend so I can't tell if it is fixed or not.
then to the trucks pulled the front sheet metal off the black short bed
and put the 350/700r4 combo from the suburban in place this took forever
because the old motor mounts were in bad shape and wouldn't go
together so had to pull it out replace the mounts and put it back in
Sunday stripped out the cab on Rusty the 83 long bed

It's interesting the surprises you can find in old vehicles . the truck came
with a indian blanket cheapo seat cover that was filthy so as I was stripping the cab I pulled the seat and took off the cover and was shocked to find the stock vinyl seat in almost perfect condition one small penny size tear from
being pinched . scrubbed it down and was amazed at the look
cut rocker patches out of the burb and made repairs to Rusty's rusty ones
put the burb padding , carpet and revived seat and is looking much better
pull the power window set ups out of the burb doors that are on Rusty now
and gave Rusty the roll up mechanisms
lots to do when yer working on building two from three
