I am actually surprised they were willing to deal with you even a little on worn out socket teeth.

I worked at Sears when i was in college 12 years ago and was told the warranty was for breakage, not wear and tear

I agree, 12 pt is not ideal in the larger socket sizes that you really put some force on, i like it for the smaller sizes because it gives me more places i can work the socket on the fastener if its in a tight location
