If you want to smooth that ride out>>> I put a set of Edelbrock IAS Preformer shocks (about $65 each) that were made for the 1973 and up 3/4 ton 4x4s on my truck. My truck is a 71 GMC 3/4 ton 4x4. It rides so smooth and makes the truck handle great.. By far the greatest improvement I have made on the ride and handeling issue on this 4x4. I did have to have the rear mounts widened on the top mounts about 1/2" to accommodate the larger shock support but it was well worth the comfort. I have road in trucks with Ranchos and lifts with other suspensions and they are no comparison to the smooth ride of the Edelbrocks with the stock suspension. I was thinking of putting a 2.5" full suspension lift on and leaving the Edelbrocks on as we had to slightly compress the shocks over factory compression when installing them. When the truck is all done with cab mount cab supports and everything I bet your ride would be extremely smooth!
