The GM sendors work off of 0-90 ohm's resistance. Can't remember which is empty and which is full. Anyway, the gauge displays the level based on this resistance. The 0-90 senders that summit sells for the fuel cells come in several types. The 0-90 is compatible with the older GM stuff.
