I had 295/50s from BFG on my truck for a while. It looked just right to me. Problem was trying to find shops around Tulsa that carried them without special ordering. I think the last pair I bought cost me around $400. Seems like they may be more available now. The other problem was the BFG Performance TA tires didn't hold up to daily driving for crap. The traction was awesome but they wore down too quick for my wallet.
I switched to Continentals, 275/50, I can get a pair for about $200 and they last a lot longer.
