Thanks, guys. I'm going to be cutting them down... and so I wanted the die on there to chase the threads back into place after the cut. A nut will probably do it just fine... which means I need to pick up a nut that will fit (including the reverse thread one)... so the size is still a question I need to resolve. I may have to take a trip to see the truck, pull a tie rod, and just take it to the hardware store. As for price of a couple of dies... I found a 5/8-18 LH online for $15. Cheap enough if I knock off a few 7-11's
