I really think that they cannot be rebuilt buy a person without a massive workshop & specialty tools - Mine was just replaced last year - it started leaking from the shaft seal. I just ended up buying a rebuild one for around $60. You need to change the hoses out when you get a new pump. A new one cost $250!!! Ouch!

Edit: Uhh... nevermind the above - I was talking about the pump. I don't know about the box!
