Thanks for updating us. There's a whole lot of bench racing that gets done and it's nice to see some real-world data hit the 'net, with the data coming from a real-world drivetrain.
Q. What does it matter that you have a 12-bolt or a 10-bolt? Is there so much more substance to a 12-bolt that it hampers performance? Didn't GM rely on them extensively for their performance vehicles in the mid-late 60's and later? If the rear end is a loser item, wouldn't they have stayed with the 10-bolt?
And, a 700R4 is a detriment? I know they are desired for their short first gear and their overdrive. I know that a 350TH is preferred over a 400TH for its' shorter first gear, too. Then, there's the PG (aluminum case) converted for drag usage. What's a poor man to do?
Convertors are another topic, right? I liked my switch-pitch convertor in my '67 Skylark and it makes me want another one. Kenne-Bell (used to) handles them.
