Im kind-of-a novice fabricator and this would be easy for me. I dont feel comfortable with the install of the triangulated 4 link. And the parallel bars looks easier to install but I will have to fab the mounts to the rear end like jlaird did to get it parallel with the ground. Anyway, any comments on the 5 link?

That's what most people do on a parallel 4 link. Its just called a parallel 4 link when you add the panhard bar also. Or they go big and install a watts link. Only downside with a panhard bar is because it is attached at one side it wants to push the axle sideways through extreme articulation. So for just 5 inches of travel, you should be fine with panhard bar and parallel 4 link, but I wouldn't go much more than that. If its set up well though, a panhard bar is a very effective way to go with a parallel 4 link. Or people go with a watts link, which attaches on both sides and has a pivot in the middle, so you don't run into the problem that the panhard bar has which is going way up, or way down it runs out of range and wants to pull or push the axle to the side.
