I just opened up a smaller pre-existing hole on the pass side of the notched factory style c.member in the truck.

The hole faced the rear of the truck. The drivers side airline was routed through the center of the c.member to keep it out of harms way & exited w/the pass side airline. To protect the airline where it passed through, I slid a piece of rubber hose over the lines & pushed it through the hole until it was centered. I then threaded some stainless nuts down over each end to keep the hose from popping out (cheap & I already had the hardware from another installation).
