Just like already stated above, here is my $.02 worth.

My '69 Dealer Truck Data Book says:
K = 106" conventional Cab
E = V8 Gasoline
1 = 3600-5600 lb GVW (check your Service Parts Identification Plate on the glove box door for specific option).
4 = Pickup
9 = Model Year (1969)
1 = Oshawa

Note: you left off a digit in your original post. You stated: KE149181558. Check to see if it should be: KE1491181558. You should have a total of 12 numbers/letters in your VIN.

181558 = (beginning with 100,001) the 81,558th unit built at Oshawa.
