In my opinion, nothing to be gained. Used to be, it was wheel selection and the fact that converting to discs meant using a 5-lug front and still having a 6-lug rear. When I did my ECE conversion to front discs, I stayed with a 6-lug setup because it meant that I wouldn't have to buy new wheels.
Nowadays, with 6-lug wheels having returned to GM trucks, there's a lot to choose from......if you have a thick-enough wallet.
