Re: 6 lug to 5 lug swap
I did the front end swap years ago and still have a 6-lug rear. I only have a spare tire for the rears, not the fronts and you can't properly rotate your wheels for even wear.  I think thats good enuf reason for wanting to make them all the same. I've been meaning to change rear axles myself. Got a 1970 GMC and was wondering what suitable 5-lug donor truck would work.
